SOLD Z3 looking for a new home

Evening Rob, Yes if you think that’s a good idea after all it is mission accomplished, a good new home for my old friend. I will have a poke about and see what is required, I may have to return to you for assistance! All the best. Mick.

Thanks for the photo Rob, at least the car looks reasonably smart! Actually I am quite relaxed about its departure, I had been concerned about what might happen to it but having met you I feel that it is in good hands. Best wishes to you and yours (including Turnip) Mick.

Sorry for the late reply! Probably the nearest station for you would be Alfreton, the alternative being Derby. I could pick you up from either. Cheers. Mick.

SOLD Z3 looking for a new home

An online car buying website has offered me £250 as a scrap price, considering that the exhaust system alone is probably worth more than that if anyone wants it I am open to offers, if I still have it at the end of the month then it will be bite the bullet time I’m afraid!!!

Thank you for your replies, I think as soon as someone shows an interest then I will be happy to engage with them, in the meantime I will continue to run it round the block if only to keep the battery charged up. Thanks. Mick.

SOLD Z3 looking for a new home

Following an accident I had 2 years ago my mobility is not as good as it was and my Z is reluctant to develop full power having stood for 12 months without turning a wheel. So does anyone want it? What I have is a 2000 reg 2 litre Z 3 in silver. The mileage is 148k, taxed to the end of April...

Sorry for the belated response, cold weather and a dicky back don’t go well together!, Besides the fuel additive I have removed the air filter and given it a good spraying of STP carburettor cleaner both with it running and not running, all to no avail I sorry to say. Because the road tax...

Evening John or should that be ey up m’duck given our locations, I took my car out yesterday and it is no better so because I know of no Zed sheds anywhere I am tempted to go down the Pelican route which you mentioned. At step 25 the sensors are shown which I believe need to be replaced...

I have now eventually got my Z back home, the good news is they have not charged me for the time they have spent poring over it and trying to diagnose the problem, the bad news is they cannot categorically say what the problem is, the exhaust camshaft sensor is now showing clear but the one...
