So today is a sad day - after 5 happy years together, I have reluctantly parted with the M Coupe.

It's been a roller coaster time - it came to me in a "usable" state but with some questionable mods & a little tatty around the edges.
Its been through quite some transformation via & the team at Zedshed Basingstoke and also some very good bodywork restoration.
And also due to a mishap with a powder coated rocker cover - a refurbished S50 engine at Munich Legends.

It leaves me in rude health and never once let me down or missed a beat. It's taken me from the south coast to a few of Stevo's amazing Zorg trips in Scotland - as well as a couple of my own trips out to Northumberland, Snowdonia etc.

I felt like I'd enjoyed her & taken her as far as I could - so the time has come for the next custodian to enjoy her.
She is making her way off to Riverside Garage in Stowmarket so if anyone is looking for a truly sorted S50 Coupe - make a beeline over there.

The garage was occupied by the Germans, but has now been invaded by the French

I guess this means no more Zorg trips for me for the timebeing butI have made a lot of friends through my time with the Z and I hope to stay in touch & see some of you from time to time...

All the best,
Dave

We've never met but I know from experience you'd be more than welcome on any runs in any car. Enjoy the Alpine 👍🏼

Dave, it was great to meet you albeit only once at C&M. Hope to see you there again this summer in the Alpine!

Dave, we met a couple of times on Stephens Scottish Cruises and sorry to see you've sold your Coupe, it was a credit to you. I remember you and Hugh arranging your cars so you could get Ailsa in the background. As said above you'll always be welcome on any run in whatever car you're running. I hope you have great fun in your Alpine:thumbsup:

We communicated a few times through Z Coupe Forum and on here. The car is in better shape than when you bought it. Lets hope who ever is the next owner looks after it the way you have.
Hope you enjoy the new motor.:coolsteer)

I remember reading your progress thread somewhere a while back, which was heartbreaking, but glad you’ve had some great adventures in it. Enjoy the Alpine!

Our last “proper run” was out from Balmoral with @VV54 in tow, good last memory to have, apart from his mums face when we got to the next stop 🤣. You could’ve brought the Alpine on the upcoming run but you’re bloody busy!!! 🤣

I’m sure if there’s any more you may tag along, just don’t bring Graham 😉

Enjoy the new car 👍

Please do keep me in the loop if you're planning anything where other cars are tolerated!

Hi David,

Should be fun on the IOM.
No immediate plans to go back to IoM - the roads are ok there but it's mostly about the lack of speed limit.
It will very much come alive in the Highlands for sure & am thinking of some possible Euro trips out....

That's a great little story! And I love the expression "so the time has come for the next custodian", 'cos that's how we should see ourselves...as custodians..... enjoy the Alpine....
