Couldn't agree more - I bought the current one in November and it's been on a SORN for December & January and I am trying to resist the temptation to tax it for February.

This week I had all the wheels off to check the tyres and have a good look at the pads and suspension.

At one point I found myself sat in it with the engine running googleing the penalty for being stopped without any road tax - suffice to say I don't believe in just having them sat their.

Not missing mine, using it, but sick of it being loopy. And the red (Orange) one.;)

And on Thursday 16th Jan... View attachment 327697
I expect an exceptional route planned for spring Minty! Not until the salt has long gone, it must be dry, warm, sunny and a route without any farmyards, cow s*** or potholes! Well maybe avoiding potholes could be tricky 😫

My daily is apparently white, most would question that at the minute, it really is gopping on the roads at the moment. We will be turning a corner soon 😁

Two buckets of water and all good again!

Something therapeutic about getting the car dirty and then cleaning it; must get a life!!

Daily goes into the bodyshop on Monday so depending on what the loan car is may be using the Zed more next week.

No, you don't need to have tax on your car to take it for an MOT. However, you can't legally drive an untaxed car on a public road, unless you're driving it to and from a pre-booked MOT appointment

. . . or to a place where work on the car is going to be done . . .

We did discuss around a year ago whether "a place" could be a mate's drive because I don't think the rule says what kind of place it means.
