Does my z3 have an amplifier? Where?

Does my z3 have an amp? I don't have any woofer and only one speaker at the top of the door card.

If there is an amp. Where is it?

I'm not bothered either way. Just curious.

Its to the rear of the left side footwell speaker.

I've got that footwell plastic cover off and see the speaker. Not seeing anything else. Not.much room there.

Take the speaker out. The Amp is bolted to the back of the speaker (if it's there).

Ah. The rear of the speaker - as in behind it.

Sorry guys. I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Duh!

The reason I'm asking is that the wiring diagrams I've been using for years are for 98'. My car is a pre face 99' and things in the 98 diagrams have worked out fine.

But today looking at audio system didn't work. Colors all wrong. Got a later diagram which I assumed was for facelift and that matches. But I didn't know where that amp is.

Now I know where to look. . . In the morning.
