I cannot drive my 1999 2.8 z3 (very last of pre facelift) until June so would like to take the time to get some of the larger jobs out the way
One of the boot spot welds is sunken in and rusted but the others seem to be ok.
However as I have so much time and am hoping to keep this car for many years, i feel it would be good to prevent the diff mount issue from getting any worse
I seem to have read online that you can swap the one eared diff cover with an e36 dual ear cover and then mount the extra ear to distribute the load more evenly
BMW E36 REAR DIFFERENTIAL COVER 168 CASE 1212665 | eBay
I have seen this diff cover pop up on ebay and I wanted to ask if every single e36 cover would fit my diff?
Any other tips or advice on this topic would be much appreciated
Thanks Chris
