Was under the car today changing rear discs and pads and noticed some signs of bubbling on both outer sills at the under side rear. Just wondering if anyone had tackled repairs on them, or changed them completely.
They are not bad but just starting to show signs of the dreaded snot bubbles, I was thinking of tackling them over winter, as my MOT is due in march. Don't want to cut and weld as I only have an arc welder, anyone had them done? Been looking at prices on eBay , but some look worse than mine by miles.

There's loads of info on here regarding sill repair/replacement. Use the search box on the page header at right hand side.

See link mate. It's a straightforward job and doesn't take that long. Make sure you remove the 4 jacking pads from the inner sills to ensure you get a full view. Depending on how severe the outer sills are they may be saveable, however, if not they're about £350 a pair from the dealer less paint.

Thanks for that Liam. Doesn't sound too bad really, I will order some new plastic fittings can guarantee they won't come off without breaking?. I'll wait till sills are off before organising new ones, I think they might not be too bad!!. Famous last words?.
