Hi wise ones ![Grimacing face :grimacing: š¬](https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/joypixels/emoji-assets@5.0/png/64/1f62c.png)
I know virtually nothing about cars & engines!!! Be gentle with me please![Rolling on the floor laughing  š¤£](https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/joypixels/emoji-assets@5.0/png/64/1f923.png)
My Z3 2.8 2000 (M54TUB28 I think) is cleaning up nicely.
Starts & runs. Wonāt rev.
Iāve changed split hoses.
Replaced faulty MAF
Started & ran nicely cold but wouldnāt rev when warm.
Got the garage to plug it in & got a P0505 - Idle Control System fault code.
Took out the ICV & cleaned it, was a bit dirty but it was working![Man shrugging :man_shrugging: š¤·āāļø](https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/joypixels/emoji-assets@5.0/png/64/1f937-2642.png)
Replaced it allā¦. & now itās worse. More air in system? Not sealed
Iām not convinced that I fitted it to the intake manifold (?) correctly.
It seemed to be a push fit. But my small brain is telling me that it should have been a pipe or at least have something to tighten.
Any insight would be helpful.
Thanks
Rhyd
