Phone mount for Map use.

Someone was asking the other day about where to mount a phone for when using Google Maps et al
This is what I use.

A suction mount bought in the USA placed in the bottom right of my windscreen.

This mount has a strong magnet which works through plastic cover on my Samsung phone which has a thin metal plate stuck to the rear of the cover, not my phone.

That looks quite neat.
I'll keep that in mind for a backup, but I've got some CAD skills and a couple of 3D printers so I think I'm going to have a go at making something myself first. Not entirely sure what that will be yet but I'll figure something out!

I used one of those for quite some time when I was traveling for work.
My only negative was that it wont allow inductive charging without removing the cover.
