Hi,

The screen has gone on my own radio unit. How much are you looking for, I have no idea on price.
Seeing as it is a 25 year old FM radio with a cassette player, I would guess at around a fiver?

I am probably way off, though! ;)

I sold a couple of these last year - had plenty of interest at £110.

Okay, yes it is a 23 year old fm radio cassette, but it is a BMW 23 year old fm radio cassette and that lifts the price unfortunately.
As the message above implies.
Was probably looking at £100 to be honest, plus whatever postage costs, afraid I don't know that yet kinda new to selling stuff in this way so would have to find that out, I would be as economical as possible I'm not trying to rip anyone off.
Cheers
Dave

OK wow thanks Dave. I would have guessed about 50 ish. I think for that money I might as well get a replacement head unit with USB. Cheers.

And that still won't mean a 30 year old wireless will receive digital transmissions.
I honestly can't recall the last time I listened to a UK radio station.

Thats what I'm saying. As commercial (ie profit making) stations switch off their FM tranmitters our old radios will stop working.

2031 will be the last year for most of Europe. Some countries have already switched to DAB and some more (up in the North) will be rolling this year.
Still one of the best reception remains the AM, but was overcrowded and so FM was a forced decision.
Not many of us will be around by 2031 and those who will probably will have nothing to hear on these “bro, lets listen to half an hour of the same note” stations.

Do these old radios work with the 'modern' digital services?
I don't think people buy these because of their broadcasting quality, or to listen to tapes! :D
It's all about 'originality' isn't it?
I would love to find a 1960s radio for my car. Or an 8 track player. It is highly unlikely I could listen to anything but it would look good.

There's a company that converts analogue to digital. No idea what it costs though.

Ι have more than ten of them, from 1950 up to 1970. Very poor reception, sometimes you have to play with the needle while travelling in order to tune again to the station, do not work with any kind of modern amplifier and as for the eight tracks my tapes are demagnetized or turn to dust when I try to play them.
Get one of these retro looking modern ones and save yourself from the frustration.

@ExMX5owner we have raped this sale thread beyond recognition, sorry.

Agreed, but the OP seems fine with it, and its educational and informative for the most part. All good .. I hope it helps @Dado , evaluate what constitutes a sensible offer and a subsequent satisfactory outcome.
