Hi my driver's window is struggling to open the last third of it's travel. It's OK on the top two thirds of travel. The further down it goes, the more it labours. I am worried it will damage the motor, or take out a fuse.
Is there any known tips to help free it up? I have loosened the bolt on the underside of the door which holds the retaining channels, so don't think it's that.

There is nothing in the way (I did check that I haven't left a rag or something in there). It seems like the glass is slightly fouling on something.

Any tips or ideas most welcome.

I was amazed that spraying a bit of silicone spray in the channel on the quarter light freed my window up, but it’s not the only factor. My window is sticky again after about 6 months.

I have loads of Gummi-pflege type stuff (as I have a Z4 and have had other verts in the past). Problem I have is I dare not put the window all the way down as I don't feel confident it will come back up. :nailbiting:

try some silicone spray on the rubbers that surround the glass, do it both sides.
Had the squeaky windows on my Z4 E85 and someone suggested silicone spray, worked a treat. Might just be very dry and unable to slide.
