As Stevie (
@Scooblitz ) has said if this was an easy swap everyone would do it as more worn drivers seats out there than good .
I have 2 sets of seats here out of vehicles at the moment so was having a look.
So here's what in my opinion is doable and whats not.
The seat metal frame ( base and backrest ) are sided as welded brackets on base frame for seat belt webbing lower anchor and belt buckle and pretensioner mounts are different so that will mean the lever mechanism for backrest tilt will be sided so that will then inturn make the backrest metal frame sided also.
Next the foam padding only one potential issue that i can see is if the seas are heated the heat pads will be glued to the foam only issue with swapping sides would be the wiring may not be long enough one one or both seats depending on routing to meet base plug.
The leather
Base should be a straight swap as base cover dont appear to be sided
Backrest cover would swap but seat belt guide is the issue causer as you would obviously have to reposition it to the opposite side of the cover the issue with that would be on the removed side ( which would become the inside) you would be left with 2 holes ( for pins) and imprint of guide on the leather
On the new side for the guide would be straightforward enough as the cover would be off you would mark and make the new holes fit the seatbelt guides pins through the holes and secure them with the correct clips
Hope this helps
Stephen.
