My car is a 1997 model but registered in 1998 and has the early set up similar to the 1.9 of the same year, ie it only has one cat, so should be similar to the illustration copied from Pelican write up. I'll have another look tomorrow when I get under the car again. Thank you @jonco
Can anybody tell me how the after cat sensor is routed on a 1998 2.8 please? You may already be aware that I had the cat cut from my exhaust while it was parked on my drive.

Probably your fuel sender. Just fill the car to max and you'll know you've got around 300 miles range
