    Rebody 507 Tribute Build thread

Do you have a wiring diagram showing the wires from the boot handle and where they join on the boot latch? I found 15mm plastic plumbing pipe idea for running cables through, it can easily be glassed into place. Works great under the bonnet and makes it all very neat.

The shape doesn't do it for me I'm afraid. It is however a great addition to the Tribute range. I still have an unstarted 250swb convertible and 2x 250 Californias to do as well as finishing the Daytona spyder.

    Rebody 507 Tribute Build thread

Nice to see another build, keep the updates coming. Tributes kits get better with each new kit released. Look forward to seeing the door skins and handles fitted. A couple of points to bear in mind. The Z3 suffers from deadlocking, this is caused by a tiny amount of pressure on the door...

Rebody Z3 to Kobra build thread

Dash is a great improvement, I have used leather and vinyl in the past but in the future, I will use leather on the seat faces and vinyl for everything else. Shame about the fog switch as I have the same that I was intending to use for the fog and spotlights, I will have a grovel to Gookah and...

    Rebody Pingu's Kit Car Project

I hope all is ok, normally after an excellent paint job the painter can't wait to show it off. I would be worried about no phone call or updates with photos. Could mean a poor finish or needs a lot of work before they want to reveal it, hopefully, this won't be the case but I would be arranging...

    Electrical drain - Fuse 31

Check the small switches on the door catches on the rear of the door aperture. They get sticky and are part of the anti theft system. On one of my cars, one was sticky and on occasion, it left the interior light on causing the battery to go flat. The interior light is so dim it is hard to spot...

    Electrical weirdness

Gookah's your man. Lots of problems working out my wiring on the 250's and he solved every one for me. It sounds like you have the same switch for the fogs as I have but I haven't fitted it yet. I'll wait until you have sorted it out first! Gookah gave me a wiring diagram for the CBS hazzard...

Anyone have any knowledge of brake vacuums?

I currently have an electric vacuum pump from an Audi fitted, it is very noisy, louder than the engine at tickover and it runs very hot so I was hoping the pump on the alternator would be quieter and more trouble free.

Anyone have any knowledge of brake vacuums?

Looks like the Corsa alternator with vacuum pup is going to be my best bet. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/254745694290?hash=item3b5006d052:g:Nx4AAOSwathfgy7G It looks as if the vacuum pump on the back has 3 connections, one for vacuum take of and 2 for oil flow and return, please correct me if...

Anyone have any knowledge of brake vacuums?

So the Corsa pump on the back of the alternator needs an oil supply? That's going to be a problem. Does anyone know of an alternator with a vacuum pump attached that doesn't need an oil supply? The great thing about the alternator driven pump is that it isn't e;ectric.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/254745694290?hash=item3b5006d052:g:Nx4AAOSwathfgy7G This looks ideal and cheap as chips, it is also for a V belt. If I can get this to fit I think it will be a better option. Thanks for the advice.

Anyone have any knowledge of brake vacuums?

Thanks, I do like that solution, I didn't know they existed. If my pump doesn't work then this will be plan B.

    Steering Rack Woes

I've replaced 2, both were due to the pipes on the rack being corroded, bit of a pig to fit but a DIY job. I would suggest the first port of call would be Spurs in a coupe for a good second hand one, that it what I did for my second one and it was a lot easier. When replacing the pipes the bends...
