That's why I would struggle to live with a kit car that was built by someone else.
Faults in a mass-produced car (and there are very few nowadays) are just put down to "it is what it is".
A kit car was built by one person, and they are solely to blame for every fault. BTW, I'm cursing this...
I could claim to be some sort of electronics wizard, but really all I can do is spend an inordinate amount of time googling random stuff :) .
It is a 240 Ohm resistor, and it's purpose its to reduce the voltage across the spark plug, and therefore reduce the current...
IMO, those crimes are no different to sticking a £5 Ferrari badge on. If anything, they are minor in comparison.
I'll be interested to know what it makes.
I may need to find a fool who is easily parted from their money when the time comes. I was easily parted from mine, but I was well lubed...
It was Classic Coachworks. They say that it can happen with coupes, but it's not that common.
The work was completed 18 months ago, and these things are to be expected. Fibreglass is not a robust material.
To me, it's just another job for the list.
I've been told that to do it properly will...
Car bodies flex. GRP doesn't.
There is a foam or wooden batten between the roof and the top of the windscreen. It has been attacthed to the roof with screws that were covered with filler as well as TigerSeal. It may not have happened if had just been TigerSeal, but the seal may not have been...

As the windscreen flexes, the GRP is also being flexed.
I'm going to try and find someone who deals with flexing GRP...
I've just seen something that is quite a problem. It has probably been caused by the body flexing due to sleeping policemen and potholes, both of which I negotiate slowly.
Roof cracking...
The joys of fibreglass 🤪 .
Any recommendations for the best flexible filler paste?

It looks a cracking job so far  .
It looks thick enough to take an M4 (8mm A/F nut) or, at a push M5 (10mm A/F nut) thread, so I would use two, maybe three studs, with washers and nylocs. Clearance holes 0.5mm larger than the thread will allow for alignment.
I wouldn't use bolts...
