I probably wrong but I thought rhe z3 speed sensor was on the diff output? If it is then you should be able to calculate pulses per mile based on the circumference of the tyre. ie how many rotations of the tyre will equal a mile.
I'd have thought the diff ratio would only be relevant if the...
My idea for the doors was to bolt 'L' brackets to the door. Problem with that idea is that the door gap at the back edge is quite close and skin is quite thin so not enough meat to recess the screw head.
So I cut a small sheet of GRP and bonded it to the inside to make the skin thicker at that...
90 miles? Perfectly reasonable way to, er, test a starter motor.
I used to do that distance just nipping out for a newspaper. Now I do that distance when I want to turn the car round in the garage.
But good job goading the nimrod.
I'm sure I've seen signs outside motor factors, workshops etc advertising free battery checks. Don't halfords do it? Obviously hoping to sell you a battery.
I've always assumed they'd use that kind of tester. Do they?
If it was the base that was wobbly then it might have been possible to tighten the screws to the door.
But solid base with wobbly mirror means it's basically cream crackered. Possibly fixable but not worth it really. Contact one of the breakers mentioned above.
I've seen inside @spurs fan in a...

Strange look to the interior where the original centre console has been kept as well as most of the dash with the binnacle replaced with ferrero-esq pods
But buyer of this one's a...
They can be.
But it's also possible to do it on a shoestring if you can do it yourself so don't include your ManHours in the cost.
Don't even count the hours otherwise you'll be kicking yourself round the workshop for ever being stupid enough to start.
Don't know about that - it's all just...
I suppose if they've replaced all the wear-and-tear parts, bushes, bearings etc and stripped and rebuilt the engine and transmission etc etc then the milage doeasn't matter so much.
But if they picked up a thrashed basket case and put new clothes it then it's still a thrashed basket case...
My dog Archie (profile picture) wears his harness clipped to one of these clipped into the seatbelt socket/receiver.
He sticks his head out the window when we're driving slowly through the country side. Not on the highway though - 70 mile an hour bee in the face won't be much fun.
I'm...
In 2016 it had done 130K.
It's still in the MOT database as a Z3. Shouldn't that affect how it goes through MOT tests? I mean testing as a Z3 it should have air bags etc.
But, personally, I do like the colour.
Personally I wouldn't like driving it unless it's locked down. Look at the catches under the bonnet see if you can move them. Might just need a bit of movement and lube. Or maybe the cable is rusted solid.
