Coupe heating/ air con problems

As above , just purchased a 2007 Coupe but has a few gremlins to sort out!
Ran the code reader and all that comes up is the outside temperature sensor, in the car the air con light doesn’t, the rear window demister doesn’t light and the fans don’t seem to run on any power, a few noises when altering the dials but no blower’s blowing.
All the fuses are fineso any advice on where to start would be much appreciated .

Sounds like it's in transport mode sure sign is rear screen heater not working and blower only on one speed. Can be reset with bmw scanner 1.4 on a laptop or a high end scanner. Transport mode is invoked when car has low battery it closes down systems to preserve power for starting. Where are you someone close by may be able to reset it for you. I can in South Wales but away on a cruise till the 15 th April.

Cheers for that Colb, owner didn’t point this out when I picked it up , may not have even realised as he wasn’t using it, it’s also just had a new battery.
Can it be resolved with INPA?

Inpa probably do it as well but Scanner 1.4 easier, my Launch tablet scanner can actually delete it from all the modules it resides in so it never happens again. Scanner 1.4 only resets it to normal.

Cheers Tony only have the CreatorC310 can’t see it on there. Have inpa and dis on a laptop but can’t work out how to do it even with a YouTube video

The outside temperature sensor doesn’t appear to have any voltage ( should it be 12V)?
Again would this be related to the transport mode or a separate problem?

Thanks for the links , think I’ll try the cheaper option first I’m hoping I’ll only have to do it once!
Typical that I’ve gone from my lads 04 3.0 with no problems to a 3.0 07 Coupe ( like to think
an upgrade)? and I’m spending my weekend trying to figure out stuff I’m not really understanding.

Quick update, 1.4 scanner arrived yesterday and we are now out of transport mode, thanks for the recommendations chaps, hope to resolder the outside temperature sensor wires tomorrow and clear the last of my codes, have a new sensor just in case it’s not the wires!

Be aware computer updates will mess the scanner 1.4 driver up keep a copy of the driver filed away just on case you need to reinstall the driver in the future. It's a good tool for beginners as it's so easy to use.

It’s an old laptop running windows 7 so no updates! At least this is in English unlike my version of INPA
