Hi Yes it is.
Good morning
Thanks for reply, the car appears to be exactly what I am looking for. However the recent MOT advises amongst other things corrosion to inner sills and unfortunately given the huge distance I would need to travel to inspect I think I will need to keep looking.
Thank you for your time.

If you look at the big list of advisory items on this last test it’s quite clear that the tester isn’t very confident in his/her ability as a tester. Talk about advising things just for the sake of it. If it’s such a huge distance why not suggest a mid way meet and look at this car, at that mileage it has to be worth a look. Z3s are only getting older.

Tony.

ps. It is also possible that the seller mentioned to the tester that he was preparing to sell the car with a full MOT, something else which makes an already nervous tester crap themselves.

Agreed it must be worth a look so a mid way meet if acceptable would make sense to me.

Hi Yes it is.
Hopefully this message does not confuse the issue but on reflection the comments made by t-tony earlier do make for a possible solution to your sale/my purchase.. If a compromise on the distance I need to travel to inspect the car can be reached I would be happy to pay the asking price subject to that inspection.
Regards
Mick

Hi all...just to confirm...My car has been garaged for 90% of my keep with it. Having said that It is NOT a new car by any means and there is a very small amount of rust on one sill which can be sorted very cheaply if needed at all.
Just don,t expect a Brand new car or a 20 yr old one to be like new...For its condition and age with the amount of history it has....This I believe is a very good buy for someone after a Fun Car or even an investment for the future...My reasons to sell are personal and not Car related!!

Probably not as bad as the MOT advisories would suggest, the inner sills rust must be the bottom of them he noted as he wouldn't be able to see behind the outer cover sills, only way of checking the inners is taking the outers off. The other stuff just needs a bit of cleaning up, maybe replacement brake pipes if that bad and a ball joint. Shock absorbers would seem to be the most expensive replacement items on the list.
