A somewhat different post this time with a lot of pics (still not update with all the minor mods post tough).
However today the calendar was cleared for Classic Car Show 2017 in Oslo, Norway and I would meet up with my car club to drive together to the show. It was a good show up today, approx 30 sportscar of different brands.
As normal we meet up at the regular meeting point ( a old sea airplane harbor ) and there the Zed got the chance to "shine" next to Ferrari's, Porche's and few other BMW's as well. Nice to walk around and chat and enjoy beautiful cars. We had fantastic weather today with sun the whole day

Another member of the norwegian BMW forum, he has nice Z4 that he saving from a previous owner. Good that there still people who likes to "save" cars!

Even tough I'm getting older, I still get starstruck by red Ferrari's. And today I ended up between three of them in the co-driving to the show venue.
Ahead of me:

And behind me:

Sometimes there is advantages of being member of such a car enthusiast club, so we got redirected to park just in front of the main entrance and "display" our cars. I felt that I was a bit misplaced, however my confidence got better as I could see people walking by and look at it. ( or did the Ferrari get all attention )

Where a lot of nice cars on the show, however there was on stand that I really wanted to catch. The BMW CCN stand

Did find a few nice ones there, but this one is really a STAR in my books!

We did a few comparisons of the Zeds, while we had the chance. They are so different, but still very similar in so many ways.

However since I had my fellow BMW friend with me today and he still had some spare time when we got home again. We decided that we would try to tackle the spare wheel cage and get it out in one piece. (never know when/if I want to restore the car to OEM again). I also wanted to have clean rear end at next weekends BMW CCN spring meeting.
Forgot to take pictures, but snapped a few ones at the end. The main problem was space, that was solved by removing passenger seat rear wheel. The second problem was the the bolt holding the hinge to the car body was so badly rusted that it required a lot of WD40, hammering and a few very convincing words. However a some time the Zed was willing to part with it and we where finally at this stage:

Finally completely out:

Final result:

All in all a good and nice car day here in Norway!
