Anyone in the Norfolk/Suffolk areas fancy a day out?

This is run by the Norwich Classic Vehicle Club and the venue is the Strumpshaw Steam Museum, a few miles south east of Norwich. NR13 4HR.

Not a lot of info being published but their general guidance is just turn up, £5 a car.

It is an annual event, and seems to be well turned out.

Anyone going? Anyone want to go?

Grrrr. Something actually near me where I don't have to drive two hours to start a journey but I am going to be away that weekend.

Well, if you want your car to be seen there, I'll happily pick it up on the way, my Missus can drive mine. I promise not to trigger the Acle Straight cameras! :ymdevil:

If it's any consolation on the 2hrs issue, I'm even further east! Maybe we need to organise an east coast gathering/cruise to a pub, one Sunday.

I am able to meet up almost anytime. Like Strumpshaw and they cancelled the steam rally this year. I am away for a couple of weeks on a canal boat so wont be around.

Been looking for any other local events.
2nd May at UEA https://allevents.in/norwich/beast-from-the-east-car-show/100001986305899415
17th May Stody Estate www.stodyestate.co.uk/new-events/2026/5/17/classic-vehicles-at-stody-gardens
28th June Blofield https://allevents.in/norwich/blofield-classic-car-and-bike-show/200029797499808

Beast from the East is at Norwich City college, not UEA! Don't go to UEA, you'll get lonely! =)) I won't get to that one as currently got no clutch and it's not in the garage until the week after.

Stody Estate, arrgh, dog sitting that week, might just have to see if he'll sit on the wifes lap for that one! Unless I bring the dog and leave the wife at home! It's pre 2000 so we should just get in on that one.

the Blofield one is strictly 40+ years old. Already looked at that

Anyone coming to strumpshaw?

Just a bit too far for me. Naaarich is nearly two hours for me, even though it's not that far. A47 is sloooooow.

I am going to https://www.bastoncarshow.com/ just outside Bourne, Lincs on the 28th.

Big thank you to Richard for letting me join the BMW Car Club gang, had a great day.
