Morning,
I've been a bit lazy with the car as its been too cold for the shed. I've ended up fitting a diesel heater which seems to work well. No excuses now.
The kit is still in customs due to arrive on Thursday. I started with getting some bits off the spare engine. The lower section of the inlet manifolds required the three holes on the top to be bored out to 8 mm, lunch time job in work.
After the tapping I ran the the inlet and rocker through an industrial parts washer which cleaned all the gunk off. I didnt get a photo to share after the cleaning. I went to the local powdercoater for some go faster red. Most of the brackets for the super charger are red, so this is going to be red overload.
They didnt do the rocker for me due to the oil pipe still being in place, ive since pulled it out and await its return.
The inlets return. Blasted and coated for 30£, always seems great value.
Trying to visualise it
Next on the shopping list will be injectors. I didnt realise the m44 had this air shroud injectors, this wasn't the case on the m42. It looks like I can get adaptors to run the bosch non air shroud type. I need to do a little more research but I am thinking the mini JCW 380cc injectors could be the way to go.
A green top for comparison vs the air shroud from the m44
