You can buy single din stereos with the features you want from £50 specials on eBay
or a single din with a flip up larger screen but would obscure the air vents
to more costly options from the main stream brands
they are a bit blingly compared to something of the time period but as suggested use your smart phone with a mount which does the jobs using Google maps or your app of choice.
