Not visible underneath as they terminate behind the front of the rear wing just above the sill, this is why the water drains between the gap of the 2 panels.
Strimmer cord pushed down the drain hole. When done pour some water ov er the hood just above the rear wing and you should see water exit between the join at the front lower edge of the rear wing and sill.
It is excellent and I have used it many times. Just for that final fill for pinholes and fine sanding marks. Always cover it over with Upol Reface as filler and GRP shrink at different rates and the reface seals it all together.
It is just a very fine filler
The wires on the original switches are
Left
brown
grey/red trace
white/green trace
blue
right
brown

the 4 wires on each switch are as follows:
Drivers switch
Brown.......................... Earth
Black/White................. Close signal...
Neither side is polished, straight of the laser cutting machine. After it has been welded you can sand the front surface with a DA sander.
The back surface has to be clean for alloy welding so it would have had a sand before welding.
There was somebody in the US selling Z8 orebodies for the Z3. I tried many times to contact them but never got an answer which was strange as the kit was being advertised on eBay which would have cost them money. The details I had were

remote releases are prone to failre, as there is a door skin over the original door there is no way to gain access to the handle or door lock.
Just a scenario you don't need.
Poppers are a bit different, when you operate the remote the door pops open, hence popper.
It releases the door catch and the door opens via a spring.
Cheap and nasty and will cause problems later on.
Do it properly and get a door handle that works properly.
The doorskins are pretty thick and you shouldn't have any problems, mine have been on for about 6 years and no problems.
Bear in mind that the pressure is only on the "push" of the door handle button, the actual door opening can be done with your little finger so I doubt if it will ever cause...
Go for it, just make sure that it is the one piece diaphragm, the strap type always break and don't give much support.
By the time you have removed and refitted the seats a dozen times, you will do anything to avoid doing it again..............ask me how I know!
Far more stylish, these Z3 owners have no taste!
Don't forget that you need "humped"seat foams. Also replace the diaphragms, use the one piece type rather that the strap type as they are far stronger.
